At S & S Roofing, Inc., we believe in using our skills not only to build strong roofs but to strengthen our community. That belief recently led to a meaningful partnership with Roofers Supply, where together we completed a full roof replacement for the Utah Ukrainian Refugee Organization at their community hub located at 2574 E. Commonwealth Avenue, Salt Lake City, UT 84109.

This humble home, easily recognized by the Ukrainian flag in the window and a sign that reads “We Stand with Ukraine”, serves as a critical support center for Ukrainian families who have been displaced due to the ongoing war in their home country.

A Hub of Hope

The home is more than just a house. It acts as:

• A gathering place for newly arrived Ukrainian families.
• A food pantry and donation center offering essential groceries, hygiene items, baby needs, and clothing.
• A temporary shelter for families in need of short term housing.

Every week, volunteers and community members come together at this location to provide stability and warmth to those who have had to flee everything familiar.

A Roof That Matches the Mission

When we learned that the roof on this vital community hub was deteriorating, marked by leaks, age, and visible wear, we knew something had to be done. With the home being used for food storage and at times as temporary shelter, the risk of water damage, mold, or structural issues posed a real threat to the services provided there.

S & S Roofing, Inc. stepped up, and with the generous material support of Roofers Supply, we got to work.

• The entire home and garage roof was stripped down to the bare wood.
• We replaced every layer with premium materials, ensuring a secure, leak free, and long lasting system.
